Quito: School days, school days

Ken is off to Spanish school this morning. He looks so cute in his new school clothes with his notebook and pencil tucked under his arm. He will be attending Cristobal Colon Spanish School, which is just a 15-minute walk from our apartment, for the next two weeks, four hours a day, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

Since I’m working Mondays and Fridays, and we are at different language levels, we’ve split up for our Spanish learning. I was going to work with a private tutor, but instead Ken’s school was able to fit me in for two hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11:00am to 1:00pm, for at least the next two weeks.

It will be so sweet. We’ll be able to walk home from school together. Maybe he’ll carry my bag for me!
